Privacy policy
Shooter Hubbie lets photographers share private galleries with their clients. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Contact us any time at hello@shootershubbie.com.
Who this covers
- Photographers who create an account and galleries.
- Clients who open a gallery link. Clients don't create an account.
What we collect
- Account details: name, studio name, email address and an encrypted password.
- Gallery information: titles, descriptions, dates, settings, client names and contact details the photographer adds.
- Client activity in a gallery: the name (and optional email) a client enters, their favorites, selections and notes, and views and downloads.
- Photos and videos a photographer uploads to Shooter Hubbie Storage.
- Technical data: cookies needed to keep you signed in, remember a client in a gallery and unlock password-protected galleries.
Google Drive
If a photographer connects Google Drive, Shooter Hubbie only gets access to the specific files they choose in the Google Picker (Google's drive.file permission). We cannot see anything else in their Drive. We store the IDs and basic details of the chosen files (name, size, dimensions) so the gallery can show them, and an encrypted access token so we can load them. Photos stay in the photographer's Drive; we never change, share or delete them.
Shooter Hubbie's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don't use Google user data for advertising, don't sell it, and don't use it to train AI models. Photographers can disconnect Drive at any time in Settings, which deletes the stored token.
How we use information
- To run the service: show galleries, record clients' picks and notes, and show them to the photographer.
- To send account emails such as sign-up confirmation and password resets.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
We don't sell personal information and we don't show ads.
Who can see it
- A gallery is only visible to people the photographer shares its private link (and password, if set) with.
- Client picks and notes are visible to the photographer who owns the gallery.
- We use trusted providers to run Shooter Hubbie: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (file storage) and Google (Drive, if connected). They process data only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep account and gallery data while the account is active. When a photographer deletes a gallery, its picks, notes and uploaded files are deleted. You can delete your whole account at any time in Settings → Delete account, which permanently removes your galleries, clients, client picks and notes, uploaded files and Drive connection. You can also email hello@shootershubbie.com.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal information by emailing us. Clients can ask the photographer, or us, to remove their picks and notes from a gallery.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Each photographer's data is kept separate at the database level, Drive tokens are encrypted, and files are served through short-lived private links.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell photographers by email for significant changes.
